HARRY FRANK SCHERER
1941 -1972

The article below was written by Frank's daughter, Anita (Scherer) Thornton.

Born September 15, 1941 to Sam and Pauline Clark Scherer at Vanzant, Mo., Frank departed this life July 20, 1972, north of Dora, Mo., as a result of a one vehicle accident.

Frank lived a lot in his 30 years, 10 months and 5 days. Frank wed Cheryl Ann Gibson on August 23, 1963, and to this union three daughters were born, Anita Pauline, Alisha Gail and Adeana Kay.

Frank loved his family and they were the center of his world, he left a void only God could fill in their hearts.

Frank was an accomplished mason, heavy equipment operator and an avid horseman. He spent many hours training horses which gave him much pleasure.

Frank was running for Eastern District Judge of Douglas County at the time of his death.

He was much loved by his community which was evidenced by the excessive amount of cards and flowers sent in sympathy.

Frank lives on through Anita Scherer Thornton, wife of David Thornton and mother of Patrick Thornton, Alisha Gandy Hartman, wife of Robert Hartman and mother of Vanessa Gandy. Adeana joined her father in heaven in 1988.

Remember life is a short dash between two dates, let's make the most of it, Frank did!
