Nine students of the 1960 graduating class were honored at Commencement for outstanding scholastic achievment in their four years of high school work. They ranked in this order; Steve Romines, first; Phyllis Cantrell and Lee Young, second; Nancy Ellis, fourth; Larry Barnes, fifth; Nettie Parsons, sixth; Joyce Cantrell, seventh; Brenda Pridemore, eighth and Sharon Shannon, ninth.
