WOODROW CLAXTON

Woodrow Claxton, son of Harve and Lena Mae (Hightower) Claxton, was born march 13, 1916, one half mile north of Claxton Church at the family home. He died at his son's home in Little Rock, Ark., May 19, 1979 having lived 63 years, two months and six days.

He was united in marriage to Anna Belle Emmerson on May 1, 1942. To this union a son, James Kent Claxton was born. Other survivors are his wife, Anna Belle; one brother, Freeman Claxton of Jefferson City; two sisters, Eula Kincheloe of Lebanon and Appah Davis of Springfield; one grandson, Jason Neal Claxton.

Woodrow lived his entire life in this area. He attended Missouri schools and spent his life as a teacher. He took his job seriously and gave of himself to help others. He will be missed by family and friends.
