MARGARET KOLB

Services for Margaret Kolb were held Thursday, Feb. 2, at 2 p.m. in the Craig-Hurtt-Bradley Chapel, with Reverend James McQueen officiating. Charmaine Young provided music on the organ. Pallbearers were Fred Morris, Jr., Max Pamperien, Richard Jackson, Bill Clary, A.F. Turner, H.L. Davidson, Louis Still and Basil Carter. Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery under direction of Craig-Hurtt-Bradley Funeral Home.

Margaret Kolb, daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Wilcox) Mackie, was born October 7, 1911 at Adamson, Oklahoma, and departed this life January 31, 1989 at Tulsa Oklahoma following an extended illness. She was 77 years, 3 months and 24 days of age.

Margaret grew up in Pittsburg, Kansas and was educated there. She earned degrees in Music and English at Pittsburg State College. She taught school in Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and California. Margaret met Ty Kolb in 1936 and they were married December 28 of that same year. One daughter, Tia Anderson of Tulsa, Oklahoma survives.
